Fixing Issues

Each issue found by AccessGuard includes a detailed fix recommendation generated by AI analysis.

Reading Fix Recommendations

Click any issue in your scan results to expand it. You’ll see:

  • What’s wrong — A plain-language explanation of the issue
  • Why it matters — The impact on users with disabilities
  • How to fix it — Step-by-step instructions, often with code snippets
  • WCAG reference — Which success criterion applies
  • Estimated effort — Quick fix, moderate, or significant effort

Applying Fixes

Most fixes involve editing your page content, theme templates, or CSS. After applying a fix, re-scan the affected page to verify the issue is resolved. Your dashboard will update to reflect the improvement.

Marking Issues as Resolved

Issues are automatically marked as resolved when a subsequent scan no longer detects them. You can also manually dismiss false positives with a note explaining why.
